James Technical Services (JTS) is one of the UK's few remaining manufacturers of environmental test chambers. Founded in 1995 by Glen and Sue James, the company is based in Talgarth, Wales, and transitioned to Employee Ownership nearly 30 years after it was established.

With a team of 10, JTS designs and builds high-performing environmental test chambers capable of reproducing some of the harshest conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity and vibration. Its equipment supports a wide range of industries, from aerospace and automotive through to pharmaceutical manufacturing, giving clients the confidence that their products can withstand real-world demands before they ever reach the market.

Operating from a modern, purpose-built factory unit, JTS takes a hands-on approach to every project. The team works closely with clients from initial enquiry and quotation through to delivery and beyond, making sure each chamber is built to meet the specific requirements of the job. This close collaboration runs throughout the process. Design and manufacture are handled entirely in-house by a team of skilled engineers and technicians, with systems built to be reliable, adaptable and flexible over the full lifetime of the chamber.

JTS continues to invest in how it designs and manufactures, refining its processes to keep pace with a changing industry and evolving customer needs. The leadership team brings decades of combined experience to the business. Managing Director Richard Lewis has over 30 years in designing, manufacturing and selling test chambers, giving him a deep understanding of how to translate customer requirements into complete testing solutions. Compliance and Finance Director Gillian Byrne brings more than 25 years at JTS, overseeing projects as they move through design and manufacturing while managing the company's financial and business operations.

Behind them sits an experienced engineering and technical team covering electrical work, refrigeration and on-site service and calibration across the UK.
