Air Conditioning Installation in Hammersmith and Fulham

Sound Planning were asked to provide acoustic design advice and noise planning input for air conditioning being installed as part of a residential refurbishment and extension. The site is in a conservation area, so usual Prior Approval rules were not available to the homeowner and a more detailed noise impact assessment was required. After surveying the site, we were able to identify an alternative location for the external AC unit which would reduce the noise mitigation requirements for the system. We also specified appropriate noise mitigation for external noise emissions to comply with local authority planning requirements.
