Marine Grade 316 Bearing 1/2 Inch Bore R8 Size

The S316-R8 is an inch size marine grade bearing measuring 0.5 x 1.125 x 0.25 inch. The sealed S316-R8-2PES is 0.3125 inch wide.

316 is austenitic stainless, so it resists many chemicals and can work in fast-flowing cold seawater and salt spray. Rinse it down with fresh water where you can to cut the corrosion risk further.

The trade-off is load capacity, which is much lower than 440 grade stainless. These are semi-precision bearings for low load and low speed applications. If you need precision and higher loads, a 440 grade inch bearing is the better fit.

Standard cages and seals are polyethylene. PEEK and PTFE options are available.
