Full Complement Zirconia Ceramic Bearings for Temperatures up to 600 Degrees

Take the cage out, fill the gap with extra balls and you have a full complement ZrO2 bearing. SMB Bearings keeps these in stock alongside the caged range for shafts from 3mm to 50mm.

With no cage to fail, full complement zirconia bearings can run up to 600°C. The same applies to versions fitted with a 316 stainless steel cage. Loads and speeds should come down as the temperature climbs, particularly above 400°C or where the bearing runs without lubricant.

The trade-off is simple. Load ratings go up by roughly 20 per cent. Maximum speed drops by up to 90 per cent. For hot, slow and heavy duty, that is a fair swap.

Standard C3 radial play helps where the inner ring runs hotter than the outer ring and would otherwise squeeze the clearance out.
