The AC6000-GL is a plastic ball bearing with acetal (POM-C) rings, a nylon PA66 cage and glass balls. It measures 10x26x8mm.
With glass balls it is completely non-magnetic and non-conductive. The AC6000-316 variant uses 316 stainless balls, which are slightly magnetic.
Acetal is one of the strongest and stiffest thermoplastics and it shrugs off saltwater and many aggressive chemicals. Working range is minus 30°C to 100°C.
Plastic bearings are for low loads, low speeds and low precision. They are light, cheap and they do not rust. Know the limits and they do the job.
