Will my CHAS certificate be accepted by a client who asks for SafeContractor?

Often, yes. Sometimes, no. It depends on the buyer.

SSIP exists to cut down on duplication. Member schemes recognise each other through a process called deem to satisfy, so if you hold one SSIP certificate, another scheme can accept it without a full reassessment. It is usually quicker and cheaper.

The catch is that some buyers want you on a specific scheme's database because that is how they manage their supply chain. You may still need to register on their preferred platform, even if your health and safety does not need assessing again.
