What is the difference between SSIP and Constructionline?

They get muddled all the time, so here it is plainly.

SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) is not a scheme you join. It is an umbrella body whose members are the assessment schemes themselves, such as CHAS, SafeContractor, SMAS and Once For All Health and Safety. You apply to one of those member schemes and they assess your health and safety against the SSIP Core Criteria.

Constructionline is a procurement register. It collects and verifies company information like insurance, finances, equal opportunities and environmental details, so buyers can find and pre-qualify suppliers in one place.

Plenty of buyers want both. Constructionline gets you found and pre-qualified. The SSIP certificate proves your safety management is up to scratch.

We handle both applications, side by side, so the evidence lines up and nothing gets done twice. Call SSIP Help on 07917 307942 or email office@ssiphelp.co.uk.
