The Common Assessment Standard is the construction industry's prequalification standard, developed by Build UK. It took over from PAS 91 as the benchmark many main contractors use.
It covers far more than health and safety. Expect questions on finance, insurance, environment, quality, modern slavery, equality, data protection and corporate social responsibility.
Several bodies are recognised to assess against it, including Constructionline. If your client is a Build UK member, there is a fair chance they will ask for it.
