What is SSIP deem to satisfy and how does it save money?

Deem to satisfy, or DtS, is the bit of SSIP that saves you money.

If you already hold a valid certificate from one SSIP member scheme, a second member scheme can accept it as proof that you meet the SSIP Core Criteria. You submit your existing certificate rather than going through the full question set again.

It is handy when different clients each want a different scheme. One full assessment, then DtS onto the others.

Bear in mind each scheme still charges its own fee, and your DtS certificate usually runs to the same expiry date as the one it is based on. Get the timing wrong and you end up renewing twice a year.
