How long does SSIP accreditation take from start to finish?

Two things decide it. How ready your paperwork is, and how long the scheme's assessor queue is.

The first part is in your control. If your documents are in order, the submission can be prepared quickly. If you are starting from scratch, it takes longer to get the evidence right.

The second part is not. Once submitted, you wait for the scheme's assessor. Queues vary between schemes and at busy times of year.

The biggest delay we see is applications being referred back for missing evidence, which puts you back in the queue. Getting it right first time is what actually saves the weeks.
