Forvac highlights FVP heavy industrial vacuum range for plant maintenance and material recovery

Forvac Services Ltd has highlighted its British-built FVP heavy industrial vacuum range for plant maintenance and material recovery. The range includes the FVP-12SC, FVP-20 and FVP-25, with 5mm steel construction for demanding industrial environments.

The machines are designed to recover materials ranging from fine dust to aggregates of 40–60mm, as well as heavy sludges and oils. Applications include processing plants, steelworks and factories where accumulated material or spills need to be removed as part of site maintenance.

Forklift-portable recovery equipment

The FVP range uses a forklift-portable power pack, allowing a unit to be moved around a site with a suitable forklift truck. The powerhead can be combined with interchangeable collection arrangements, including a 1m³ tipping skip, a bottom-dump hopper or an air-lift skip.

Forvac quotes loading rates of three to six tonnes per hour for the FVP-25 over distances of up to 40 metres. The range can also support fixed pipework installations, providing an alternative to moving the vacuum between individual cleaning points.

Blower and filtration arrangement

The FVP-20 and FVP-25 incorporate positive-displacement triple-lobe Omega blowers. The equipment uses 15–22kW IE3 electric motors with soft-start control panels to support sustained recovery duties.

A two-stage filtration arrangement combines primary cassette filters with secondary HEPA H13 filtration. The primary stage uses anti-static PTFE filter media over stainless-steel inserts, while the secondary stage provides further particulate filtration before the exhaust air is released.

An automated shaker motor cleans the primary filters at timed intervals. This arrangement is intended to help maintain suction during operation and reduce the need for manual filter cleaning.

UK service and support

Forvac Services Ltd supports the equipment with nationwide contract hire, safety training and routine preventative maintenance. These services complement the FVP range for businesses planning heavy-duty material recovery and ongoing plant housekeeping.
