Setting is a different joint to pressing. Setting technology for automated assembly joins parts by gravity, form fit or spring force.

Press-fitting, on the other hand, elastically deforms the parts, and the force fit stops them loosening.

The PEB fixtured insertion system and HPP handheld insertion system cover both setting and press-fitting with automatic feeding.

Pins, bolts and clips give force-fitted or form-fitted connections.
