The VFR 105 is the starting point of our low loader ramp range. It is built for loading plant machinery onto low loaders and flatbeds, and it handles machines on pneumatic tyres, solid wheels, rubber tracks and steel tracks.
Like the rest of the VFR family, the 105 is made from a special aluminium construction. It is strong, durable and weather resistant, so it copes with life strapped to a trailer and the knocks that come with busy sites.
The VFR 105 is a good fit for compact and mid sized plant that moves regularly. If your fleet includes heavier machines, the VFR 120, VFR 134 and VFR 185 follow on in the same family, so you can keep a consistent setup across different trailers while matching each ramp to the work it does.
There are two widths to choose from. Three profiles give a ramp 390mm wide, while four profiles take it to 520mm. Wider ramps give more room for tracks and a little more margin for the operator lining up the machine.
Connection options include a lip with steel pin and movable safety device, a hinge fitting, or a bottom hook that drops into a guide rail. Standard sizes and capacities are shown in the table on the product page, and other sizes are available on request.
Width is set by the number of aluminium profiles. Three profiles give a ramp 390mm wide, and four profiles give 520mm. The narrower ramp saves weight and space, while the wider ramp gives more room for tracks and tyres and more margin for the operator.
Ramps are only as good as the way they are used. Set them square to the trailer, check the fittings are engaged, keep the running surface clear and make sure nobody is standing where a machine or ramp could reach them.
