Tracked machines put a different kind of load through a ramp. The weight is spread along the track, but the edges and grousers bite, and the machine pivots as it crests the top. Our low loader ramps are designed with that in mind.
The VFR range takes both rubber and steel tracked machinery. The aluminium construction gives a strong running surface that stands up to repeated loading, and it will not rot or rust when it is left out in the rain.
Operators notice the difference straight away. A ramp that stays still, gives the track a flat footing and is wide enough to line up comfortably takes a lot of the tension out of loading. That matters at the end of a long shift, in the dark or when the ground is soft and uneven.
Width matters with tracks. The four profile option gives a 520mm wide ramp, which gives the operator more room to keep the track central. The three profile 390mm ramp suits narrower tracks and lighter machines where weight saving is the priority.
Getting the ramp to stay put is the other half of the job. A lip with steel pin and movable safety device, a hinged end or a bottom hook into a guide rail all help keep the ramp located while the machine climbs. Pick the one that suits your trailer.
Guide rail for hook fitting ramps is available in lengths of 2600mm, in black or galvanised steel. It runs across the rear of the trailer and gives the ramps a secure location point that can be adjusted to suit each machine.
Whether you run one trailer or a fleet, consistency helps. Using the same ramp type, fittings and widths across your vehicles means drivers know what to expect, training is simpler and spares are easier to manage.
