Low Loader Ramps with Hinged End

A hinged end turns a loose ramp into part of the trailer. The ramp pivots on a fixed fitting, so it is always in the same place and always secured. For operators loading the same trailer day after day, it is a tidy way to work.

Our hinge fitting is available on the VFR range of aluminium low loader ramps. The aluminium construction keeps weight down, which matters when a ramp is lifted and lowered on a hinge several times a day.

Hinged ramps also reduce the risk of ramps being left behind on site or going missing between jobs. They stay with the trailer, which is one less thing for a busy driver to keep track of and one less replacement for the yard manager to order.

Hinged ramps suit trailers with a fixed loading position and plant fleets where the same machines go on and off regularly. There is no lining up, no sliding, and nothing to forget at the last drop.

Pick from 390mm three profile or 520mm four profile widths, and match the length to your deck height. Where a hinged setup needs extra help lifting, spring assistance is available across the range.

Choosing the right ramp starts with three facts: the weight of the heaviest machine, its wheel or track width, and the deck height of the trailer. With those, it is straightforward to pick a model, a width and a length.

For mixed fleets, the hook and guide rail combination gives the most flexibility. One trailer can load narrow and wide machines with the ramps set correctly every time, and the hook keeps them held in place.
