Solid wheels are tough and puncture proof, but they do not flex. That means all the load goes through a small contact area on the ramp. Our low loader ramps are designed to handle solid wheeled machinery as standard.
The special aluminium construction in the VFR range gives the strength needed to take that concentrated load. It is durable enough for frequent loading and resistant to the weather, so it keeps working through every season.
Solid wheeled machines are often lower to the ground than tracked or tyred plant. That makes ramp angle important. A longer ramp keeps the slope gentle so the chassis clears the top edge, and it gives the operator more control on the way down.
Solid wheeled kit often turns up in warehouses, recycling sites and yards, where machines move between locations on a low loader or flatbed. A ramp that sits firmly against the trailer is essential, and the lip, hinge and bottom hook fittings all do that job.
Choose 390mm or 520mm widths to suit your wheels and the margin your operators want. Standard sizes are listed on the product pages, with other sizes available on request.
Aluminium does not rust the way mild steel does. That means no flaking paint, no weakened sections and no orange streaks down the back of the trailer. Ramps keep their strength and appearance for longer, even when they live outside.
A good set of ramps is a long term purchase. Choosing strong, weather resistant aluminium and the right size up front means years of reliable loading, rather than a cycle of repairs and replacements.
