Low Loader Ramps for Rollers

Rollers are a common sight on the back of a low loader, moving from one surfacing or groundworks job to the next. Loading them needs ramps that give firm support under drums and wheels.

Our aluminium low loader ramps are designed for machines on pneumatic tyres and solid wheels, as well as tracks. That covers the wheel end of most compaction plant, and the ramp width can be chosen to suit the drum or tyre.

Drum rollers have a wide contact area, while pneumatic tyred rollers concentrate weight through several tyres. Either way, the ramp needs to support the full width and stay planted. Check the VFR capacity tables to match the right model.

The 520mm four profile ramp gives a wider running surface, which helps with drum rollers. For smaller pedestrian or ride on rollers, the 390mm option keeps things lighter.

Ramps can be fitted with a lip, hinge or bottom hook. Whichever you choose, the aim is the same: a ramp that stays put as the machine climbs. Standard sizes are listed on the VFR range pages.

A good set of ramps is a long term purchase. Choosing strong, weather resistant aluminium and the right size up front means years of reliable loading, rather than a cycle of repairs and replacements.

Hinged ramps are a natural partner for spring assistance. The springs help lift and lower the ramp, which makes handling easier and gives more control, particularly on longer or wider ramps.
