HGV low loaders move some of the biggest kit on the road. The ramps they carry need to be strong, secure and practical for a driver working alone.
Our VFR range covers HGV use, from the VFR 105 up to the VFR 185 for heavier plant. All are made from a special aluminium construction that is strong, durable and weather resistant.
HGV drivers often load and unload on their own in all kinds of places. Ramps that are strong enough for heavy plant but manageable for one person, especially with spring assistance, make a long working day safer and more productive.
Secure fittings are vital at this scale. Choose from a lip with steel pin and movable safety device, a hinge fitting or a bottom hook into guide rail, with spring assistance available for longer hinged ramps.
Sizes and capacities are set out on each product page, and other sizes can be made. For wide tracked machines, the four profile 520mm ramp gives the extra width operators want.
Standard ramp sizes and capacities are shown in the tables on each VFR product page. If none of them suits your trailer or machine, other sizes are available on request, so you are not forced into a compromise.
The steel pin and movable safety device on the lip fitting give drivers a positive way to secure the ramp. It is a quick step that turns a loose ramp into a located one, ready to take the load.
