Low Loader Ramps for Beavertail Trailers

Beavertail trailers have a sloped tail that reduces the climb, but they still need ramps to bridge the gap to the ground. The right ramps make loading a beavertail quick and safe.

Our VFR low loader ramps suit beavertail setups carrying plant on tyres, solid wheels or tracks. The aluminium construction keeps them light, so drivers can set them up without struggling.

Beavertail trailers are popular for plant because the reduced climb suits lower machines. Matching the ramp length to the tail height keeps the overall angle gentle and the transition from ramp to tail smooth.

Connection is key on a beavertail. A hinge fitting gives a permanent setup, while a bottom hook and guide rail lets ramps slide to suit different machines. A lip with steel pin and safety device is also available.

Choose 390mm or 520mm widths and a length to suit the tail height. Standard sizes are on the product pages, with other sizes available on request.

For mixed fleets, the hook and guide rail combination gives the most flexibility. One trailer can load narrow and wide machines with the ramps set correctly every time, and the hook keeps them held in place.

The VFR range is built around a special aluminium construction. Aluminium gives a strength to weight ratio that steel cannot match, which is why it has become the material of choice for plant loading ramps. The ramps stay strong under load, light in the hand and resistant to the weather.
