Galvanised Guide Rail for Low Loader Ramps

Trailers live outside. They get rained on, sprayed with road salt and covered in site muck. A galvanised guide rail stands up to that far better than plain steel, which is why it is a popular choice for low loader ramp setups.

We supply guide rail in 2600mm lengths in galvanised steel, as well as a black finish. It is designed to take ramps fitted with a bottom hook, letting them be positioned across the width of the trailer.

Black guide rail suits trailers where a painted finish matches the rest of the chassis. Galvanised rail is the choice when corrosion resistance comes first. Both take the same hook ramps, so the decision is about finish and environment rather than function.

Pairing galvanised rail with aluminium ramps gives a loading system that handles the weather well end to end. The ramps are weather resistant by nature, and the galvanising protects the rail from corrosion.

If you are running a fleet of low loaders, standardising on hook ramps and guide rail means drivers know exactly how every trailer works. That consistency helps with safety and speeds up every drop.

The VFR family runs from the VFR 105 to the VFR 120, VFR 134 and VFR 185. Each step offers more capability for heavier plant, while keeping the same aluminium construction and the same choice of fittings and widths.

Painted steel ramps need regular attention to stay in good order. Aluminium ramps need far less. That saves time in the workshop and keeps ramps in service rather than waiting for repair.
