Flatbeds sit higher than a typical low loader, so the ramp has more work to do. Our VFR ramps are designed for loading plant onto low loaders and flatbeds, giving a strong, stable path from ground to deck.
Deck height decides ramp length. The higher the bed, the longer the ramp needs to be to keep the angle manageable for the machine. Standard ramp sizes are set out on the product pages, and other sizes are available on request.
Flatbed drivers often load on their own, at the roadside or in a customer yard. Ramps that are light enough to handle alone and that lock securely to the deck edge are the difference between a quick, safe drop and a struggle.
The aluminium construction keeps ramps light enough to handle even at longer lengths. That is a real benefit on flatbeds, where ramps are often carried on the vehicle and set up by the driver alone.
Fit options include a lip with steel pin and movable safety device, a hinge fitting, or a bottom hook into guide rail. On a flatbed, a secure connection at the deck edge is what keeps the whole operation steady.
For mixed fleets, the hook and guide rail combination gives the most flexibility. One trailer can load narrow and wide machines with the ramps set correctly every time, and the hook keeps them held in place.
Alongside the ramps themselves, the VFR range includes wheel ramps, spring assistance, infills and outriggers and a loading station. Together they let you build a loading system that suits your trailers, your machines and your yard.
