RSC Training Expands Summer Programme with New Confined Space and MEWP Spotter Courses
RSC Training has expanded its summer training programme with the introduction of new confined space and MEWP Spotter courses, alongside a comprehensive schedule of IPAF, PASMA and ladder safety training taking place throughout July.
The training provider, which operates centres in Thamesmead and Soham, continues to support businesses across a wide range of industries with nationally recognised workplace safety qualifications and on-site training solutions.

New confined space training launched
One of the latest additions to RSC Training's portfolio is its City & Guilds Medium Risk Confined Space course, designed for personnel who are required to enter confined spaces and hazardous environments as part of their role.
The programme provides delegates with a thorough understanding of current legislation, legal responsibilities, risk assessments and safe systems of work, while also delivering practical experience using specialist confined space equipment.
Training includes the correct use of Escape Breathing Apparatus (EBA), along with practical exercises covering safe access, egress and working procedures within confined and hazardous environments.
Successful delegates receive a nationally recognised qualification valid for three years. In addition to the medium-risk programme, RSC Training also offers shorter low-risk confined space courses tailored to individual customer requirements.

IPAF MEWP Spotter course now available
RSC Training has also added the IPAF MEWP Spotter course to its training portfolio.
The half-day eLearning programme has been developed by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) for individuals responsible for assisting Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) operators when manoeuvring equipment safely into position.
The course covers the responsibilities of a spotter, including safe positioning, recognised hand signals and effective communication with operators during lifting and positioning activities.
While primarily aimed at spotters, the course is also recommended for MEWP operators, supervisors and site managers to ensure everyone involved understands safe working practices around powered access equipment.
Upon successful completion, delegates receive an internationally recognised certificate valid for five years. Those already holding a Powered Access Licence (PAL) can also have the MEWP Spotter (MM) category added to their existing PAL card.

Wide range of training available throughout July
Alongside its newest courses, RSC Training continues to deliver a full programme of accredited IPAF, PASMA and ladder safety training throughout July.
Courses include IPAF operator training, IPAF Harness, PASMA Towers for Users, PASMA Combined courses, Ladder User training and Towers on Stairs, with regular availability at both the Thamesmead and Soham training centres.
The company also offers flexible course scheduling for organisations requiring closed courses or bespoke training dates.
On-site training for added flexibility

For businesses looking to minimise downtime, RSC Training also provides on-site training across the UK. Where customers do not have suitable access equipment available, the company can supply the required equipment as part of the training package, often providing a more cost-effective alternative to separate equipment hire.
By delivering practical training at customers' own premises, organisations can train multiple employees while using familiar working environments and reducing disruption to day-to-day operations.
With demand for accredited workplace safety training continuing to grow, RSC Training's expanding course portfolio aims to help employers improve compliance, develop workforce competence and maintain high safety standards across a wide range of industries.
