RSC Training Announces August Courses, PASMA Digital Training Update and First Aid Programme

RSC Training has published its August newsletter, highlighting upcoming IPAF and PASMA courses, the latest developments in PASMA's move towards digital training, additional Confined Space training opportunities and the introduction of its Emergency First Aid at Work course.

With accredited training available at both its Thamesmead and Soham training centres, alongside flexible onsite training across the UK, RSC Training continues to support businesses looking to maintain compliance and improve workplace safety.

August IPAF and PASMA Training Courses

Throughout August, RSC Training is running a wide selection of IPAF Operator, IPAF Harness and PASMA Towers for Users courses across its Thamesmead and Soham training centres.

Businesses unable to find a suitable course date are encouraged to contact the team, with additional training dates and onsite courses available to meet individual business requirements. RSC Training can also provide equipment for onsite training where required, helping organisations reduce costs while delivering accredited training at their own premises.

PASMA Training Moves Towards Digital Delivery

One of the biggest developments featured in this month's newsletter is PASMA's planned move towards fully digitised training delivery.

RSC Training recently attended a PASMA Training Committee meeting where the new digital training platform was demonstrated. The system will replace traditional paperwork with tablet-based course administration, allowing instructors and delegates to complete registration, theory tests, assessments and course evaluations electronically.

Although the new system is not expected to be fully introduced until next year, RSC Training will be participating in the upcoming trial programme, giving some delegates the opportunity to experience the new digital format ahead of the national rollout.

Confined Space Training Continues Following Successful Launch

Following the successful delivery of its first City & Guilds Confined Space Medium Risk course, RSC Training has announced further training dates for businesses requiring confined space qualifications.

The nationally recognised course provides delegates with practical and theoretical knowledge covering confined space legislation, risk assessments, safe systems of work and the correct use of Escape Breathing Apparatus (EBA). The programme also includes practical exercises covering safe entry, exit and working procedures in hazardous environments.

Alongside the medium-risk qualification, RSC Training also offers shorter low-risk confined space courses tailored to specific workplace requirements.

Emergency First Aid at Work Training

The August newsletter also introduces RSC Training's Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course.

This one-day, HSE-compliant qualification is designed for nominated workplace first aiders working in low-risk environments, including offices, retail businesses, hospitality venues and small businesses. Valid for three years, the course equips delegates with the practical skills and confidence required to respond effectively during workplace medical emergencies.

The course is also suitable for business owners, designated first aiders and employees providing additional first aid cover within larger organisations.

Flexible Training Solutions for Businesses

Alongside its scheduled training calendar, RSC Training continues to provide flexible onsite training across the UK. Where businesses do not have access to the required equipment, the company can often supply it as part of the training package, offering a practical and cost-effective alternative to hiring equipment separately.

Businesses interested in IPAF, PASMA, Confined Space, First Aid or other accredited workplace safety training are encouraged to contact the RSC Training team to discuss their requirements and arrange the most suitable training programme.
