SC Training Announces April 2026 Courses, New MEWP Spotter Programme and Advanced PASMA Opportunities

RSC Training has released its April 2026 newsletter, outlining a busy schedule of accredited training courses, alongside updates on new industry programmes and expanded learning opportunities across its Thamesmead and Soham centres.

Wide Range of April Training Courses Available

Throughout April, RSC Training is delivering a comprehensive selection of IPAF and PASMA courses, designed to support safe working at height across multiple industries.

At the Thamesmead centre, courses include:

  • IPAF 3a / 3b / 1b Operator training on multiple dates across the month
  • Daily IPAF Harness training
  • Combined IPAF/PASMA courses on 11th and 25th April
  • PASMA Towers for Users on 10th, 11th and 25th April
  • PASMA Towers on Stairs on 30th April

Meanwhile, the Soham training centre will host:

  • IPAF 3a / 3b training on selected dates throughout April
  • Daily IPAF Harness training
  • PASMA Towers for Users on 24th April
  • PASMA Combined course on 27th April
  • Specialist PASMA Linked Towers and Large Decked Towers courses on 28th and 29th April

The company has also confirmed that additional course dates can be arranged to meet specific customer requirements, including on-site training options.

Rare Advanced PASMA Courses Arrive in Soham

RSC Training has highlighted the introduction of advanced PASMA courses at its Soham facility, including Linked Towers and Large Decked Towers training.

These specialist programmes are rarely available, offering candidates a valuable opportunity to expand their qualifications and develop advanced working-at-height skills. Delegates are required to hold relevant PASMA certification before progressing onto these courses.

New IPAF MEWP Spotter Course Introduced

A key update for April is the launch of the new MEWP Spotter course by IPAF. This short online course, lasting approximately two and a half hours, is designed for individuals supporting Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) operators.

The course focuses on:

  • Effective communication between operator and spotter
  • Industry-standard hand signals
  • Hazard awareness in restricted visibility environments

By assigning a trained spotter, organisations can significantly improve on-site safety and reduce the risk of accidents during MEWP operations.

Flexible On-Site Ladder Training Across the UK

RSC Training continues to expand its on-site ladder training services, offering businesses the flexibility to complete courses at their own premises.

With a nationwide network of qualified instructors, the company can deliver tailored training programmes, provided suitable space is available for both practical and theory-based elements.

New WhatsApp Channel Enhances Customer Communication

To improve communication with customers, RSC Training has launched a dedicated WhatsApp channel. This platform will provide updates on course availability, industry news, and training opportunities, offering a convenient way for clients to stay informed.

Supporting Safer Working at Height

With a strong focus on safety, flexibility, and accessibility, RSC Training’s April programme reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting individuals and businesses working at height.

From widely recognised IPAF certifications to specialist PASMA courses and new industry initiatives, the company continues to provide training solutions that meet evolving workplace demands.
