IPAF update their Operator Training Course
It has been a little while in the making, but IPAF have completed their new look Operator Training Course and it is ready and going to go live from the 14th January.

The idea behind the new design, based upon feedback IPAF have received, it to make the presentation of the course more inclusive to the different demographic of delegates who attend courses who are going to be using MEWPs in a variety of different working environments.

It has also allowed IPAF to design the presentation to be more targeted to the requirements of each delegate attending, so that they are learning about the categories they are covering without having to to cover categories they are not.

The new Operator Training Course will be available in an Instructor led classroom format and as an eLearning option. Theory tests will be updated in line with the changes however the practical sessions will remain the same as before.

If you have any questions regarding the new Operator Training Course, please contact us on 0203 794 0798 or info@rsc-training.co.uk or contact IPAF directly.

PASMA Courses fully integrate TowerSure
A lot of you will already be familiar with the new TowerSure app, the new method for inspecting towers that PASMA introduced in 2023 for completing the inspection on an app on a mobile phone as opposed to the paper based Tower Inspection Records.

We at RSC Training have been using this method of tower inspection on our Training Courses for a while now, encouraging delegates to do so when completing their inspections on the course.
PASMA have now updated their courses to fully include and promote TowerSure, with a dedicated section of theory for Inspection & Recording showing the advantages of the app, to supplement the usage of the app by delegates on the course and give them a better understanding of the app before they use it.
We would encourage all delegates booking PASMA Training Courses to download and set up the app prior to attending the course, to familiarise themselves with the app and save time on the day of the course. The app can be downloaded for free from the usual places you get your apps from.

Digital Only PASMA Cards
Were you aware that you are able to view your PASMA Card as a digital version on your phone? Ever since the launch of the TowerSure app, a digital version of the PASMA Card is uploaded to the profile section on the app, meaning you are never without it even if you misplace or lose the physical version.

In line with PASMA's ongoing efforts to reduce their carbon footprint, they have taken the decision to convert to a digital ONLY option for the PASMA Card as of 2025. In line with our own environmental commitments, we at RSC Training have taken the decision to implement this change now.

Effective immediately, all delegates completing PASMA Training Courses with us will be receiving a digital ONLY PASMA Card via their TowerSure app, with the certificate still being available to download from the PASMA website.

If you have any questions regarding this change, please contact us on 0203 794 0798 or info@rsc-training.co.uk

Ladder Association launch two new courses
The Ladder Association have added to the courses they offer by launching two new courses for Stepladder & Step Stools.

The new Inspection and Combined courses have been added to the existing Users course, to provide the complete range of courses for Stepladder & Step Stool and bring this in line with the Ladder & Stepladder courses.

The Inspection course is a half day course, for which the delegate must hold a valid Users Card. The Combined course is a stand alone 1 day course covering both Users and Inspection.

Giki Challenge - The Results
Recently, the team at RSC Training took part in the Employee Race to Zero Competition, a global, UN endorsed sustainability initiative designed to raise awareness of the way employees can drive climate action within their companies.

The competition, run by Giki, took place online over two weeks from 14-27 October 2024, with the first weeks theme being "Go Green At Work" and the second weeks theme being "The Big Switch". The idea over the two weeks was to encourage employees to take "steps" to reduce their carbon footprint.

Introduced to challenge by the Ladder Association, find out how we got on by reading our article on our website:
