Digital PASMA Cards
We let you know last month that we were changing to digital only PASMA card inline with our own and PASMAs ongoing efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. We have been successfully implementing this now for a month
You can currently download the PASMA Towersure App from the Play Store or Google Apps for free, we ask all delegates coming onto any of our PASMA courses to do this.
PASMA have now updated their courses to fully include and promote TowerSure, with a dedicated section of theory for Inspection & Recording showing the advantages of the app, to supplement the usage of the app by delegates on the course and give them a better understanding of the app before they use it
Mangers can get a lot from Towersure Console and monitor all of their tower builds in real time. To find out more about this you can visit PASMA website or take a look at this short video.
Managers can also take a Towers form Mangers course we have one running at Thamesmead on Sat 15th Feb contact us for more information.

Ladder Association on BBC News!
Recently The Ladder Association were featured on BBC News Filmed at The Test & Research Centre in Soham the is location of our second training facility. This News article highlighted the dangers of buying uncertified ladders from online sellers.
Pictured here we can see John Darby (right) testing an extension ladder that has buckled within its maximum weight limits.
Anyone using this ladder would have most definitely bee seriously injured or worse.
Here is another extension ladder tested in the same way, you can see the enormous bend that is present on the ladder imagine trying to use this ladder safely?
Always buy your ladders from reputable suppliers The Ladder Association recommends High Street retailers, the full video can be seen here.
Need training on ladders? We run Ladder courses every month for for more information get in touch

What happening with IPAF this month
We informed you last month that IPAF were updating their IPAF Operator course completely this change has now happened if you would like a recap of the changes you can read more in-depth about them here.
The course so far has been we received the eLearning is more targeted whereby you will only learn about the categories that you wish to be trained on where as before you would be given information on all of the categories which may have been a little information overload.
Something that IPAF are still working on would be things like multi language papers.
If you need a multi language paper it is VERY important that you contact us before your eLearning is issued,
there are a small number of languages that we can still help with. We cannot help if your eLearning has already been issued.
The eagle eyed among you will have noticed that we have noticed that we have put on a full day IPAF this month its on 25th, whats involved in a full day? Well our Instructor will deliver the theory portion of the IPAF training to you (No eLearning) accompanied with slides and videos over a morning session. This will be targeted for the categories you are taking. You will then do you theory test and having successfully completed that you will then continue to the practical session. You will be with us for approximately 7 hours. These days so far have been popular and we intend to run at least one every month at Thamesmead.
