It's a cutting process that uses a very high pressure jet of water, mixed with fine abrasive, to cut through material. Pure water cuts softer materials such as rubber and foam, while the abrasive mix cuts metals, stone and composites.
Because there's no heat, there's no heat affected zone, no hardening and no distortion. The cut edge keeps the properties of the parent material, which matters on armour plate, hardened steel, titanium and anything heat sensitive.
PRV supplies defence, switchgear, rail, automotive, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, food processing, aerospace, actuation, power generation, mechanical handling and valve customers. Batch size runs from a single prototype to full production, in materials from mild steel to titanium and nickel alloys.
