Can you make a part from an old sample with no drawing?

Yes. PRV manufactures from customer drawings, specifications or OEM samples. Where there's no drawing, the part is measured, modelled and manufactured from the sample.

This is common with obsolete spares, where the original manufacturer has gone or wants silly money for a replacement. PRV can also suggest improvements along the way, such as a better material or a tweak to a feature that keeps wearing out.

PRV Engineering has been machining, fabricating and finishing from Pontypool, South Wales since 1986. The 54,000 sq ft facility runs 30 CNC machining centres, 10 deep hole drilling machines, a 5 axis waterjet, a full fabrication shop and in-house finishing and plating. Work is controlled to BS EN ISO 9001:2015, with BS EN 1090 EXC3, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 alongside.
