Trolley Lifts

Trolley lifts raise and lower trolleys and goods between levels or into vehicles. PRV designs and fabricates trolley lifts for handling applications. From its 54,000 sq ft site in Pontypool, South Wales, PRV Engineering has been machining, fabricating and finishing for UK industry since 1986.

The fabrication shop cuts, bends, welds and assembles everything from small brackets to large framed structures. Typical work includes machinery guarding, conveyor systems, access platforms, catwalks, racking, stillages, acoustic containers, mezzanine floors and bespoke fabricated assemblies. Fabrication sits under the same roof as machining, waterjet cutting and finishing, so parts move straight from one process to the next without leaving the building.

Fabrication quality shows in the welds, the fit up and the finish. Ask a fabricator about their certification, welding procedures and inspection. Ask whether they can machine, paint and install too, because every handover between suppliers adds time and risk. PRV keeps the lot in-house, so you get one price, one programme and one point of contact.

Mechanical handling equipment takes a pounding, so frames, shafts, rollers and guards have to be built properly. PRV fabricates and machines conveyor, lifting and handling components and can install them on site.

Whether you need a single prototype or thousands of repeat parts, the work is planned to suit. Mild steel, stainless, aluminium, copper, Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy and titanium are all machined regularly, and a stocking service lets customers cut their own inventory and call off as needed.

Getting started is straightforward. Share your drawing or sample, tell the team your quantities and deadline, and PRV will come back with a quote and any suggestions to save cost. From there the work is managed in-house through to final inspection and delivery.

Quality sits at the top of the agenda, with a zero tolerance policy on rejects. Work is completed under BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and BS EN 1090 EXC3, and PRV also holds ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. With every major process in-house, problems are caught early and fixed fast.
