Steel staircases are strong, durable and flexible in design. PRV fabricates straight, dog leg and feature staircases to suit the building. Established in 1986, PRV Engineering operates from a 54,000 sq ft precision engineering facility in Pontypool, South Wales.
Architectural steelwork has to look right as well as perform. PRV fabricates balustrades, Juliet balconies, spiral and straight staircases, verandas, canopies, doors and decorative features in mild and stainless steel. Clean welds, tidy details and a quality painted or powder coated finish from the in-house finishing department mean the steel is ready to be seen, not hidden.
Architectural steel is on show, so finish quality matters as much as strength. Ground welds, crisp edges and a quality coating separate good work from bad. Make sure your fabricator handles both the steelwork and the finishing, so there's no blame game when something doesn't look right. PRV does both in Pontypool.
Construction projects need fabricators who deliver on time, hold the right accreditations and can work safely on site. PRV supports main contractors and developers with certified steelwork and installation.
Batch size is not a problem. One-offs, pre-production runs and high volume schedules all go through the same controlled process. Materials cover the full spread from mild steel to titanium and nickel alloys, and Kanban, VMI, consignment and JIT supply can be set up for repeat lines.
PRV keeps things simple for buyers. One quote covers every process, one purchase order covers the whole job, and one team is accountable for the result. Material certificates, inspection reports and conformity paperwork are supplied as required.
Being a true one stop shop is the big advantage. A part can be cut, machined, welded, plated and painted without ever leaving the site, which cuts lead times, removes supplier handovers and keeps quality in one pair of hands. Accreditations include BS EN ISO 9001:2015, BS EN 1090 EXC3, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Constructionline and Acclaim SSIP.
