Steel fire escapes must meet building regulations and stand up to the weather. PRV fabricates and installs external fire escape stairs and landings. From its 54,000 sq ft site in Pontypool, South Wales, PRV Engineering has been machining, fabricating and finishing for UK industry since 1986.
PRV fabricates in mild steel, stainless steel and specialist alloys, producing frameworks, gratings, gates, fence panels, fire escapes, staircases, walkways and fabricated assemblies to drawing. Fabrication is certified to BS EN 1090 EXC3, and work can be machined, shot blasted, painted or powder coated in-house before it leaves Pontypool. That keeps quality under one roof and takes the risk out of passing parts between suppliers.
Steel fabrication is only as good as its welding procedures and quality control. BS EN 1090 certification shows a fabricator has proven systems for welding, traceability and factory production control. For anything structural or safety critical, insist on it. PRV holds BS EN 1090 at EXC3, the execution class for demanding work.

PRV works from customer drawings, specifications or OEM samples. Mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and exotic alloys are all handled, in quantities from one to full production, with call off stock available to keep your shelves lean.
The process is simple. Send a drawing, CAD model, specification or sample. PRV reviews it, flags any manufacturing concerns and quotes promptly. Once ordered, the job is planned through the relevant departments, inspected against your requirements and dispatched with the paperwork you need.
