Planned Maintenance Engineering

Planned maintenance engineering keeps plant running and avoids costly breakdowns. PRV provides scheduled mechanical maintenance for production sites. PRV Engineering has been trading from Pontypool, South Wales since 1986 and now runs a well equipped 54,000 sq ft facility.

PRV installs and maintains both its own equipment and third party plant, providing transport, handling, lifting, welding and mechanical installation. Because the team are engineers and fabricators, problems found on site get solved on site rather than waiting on someone else. Site instructions, method statements and risk assessments are supplied for every job in line with current CDM regulations, and the safety record is something the team are rightly proud of.

Site work is where engineering meets real world conditions. Things rarely go exactly to plan, so the contractor needs to solve problems on the spot. Engineers who can also machine and fabricate spare parts back at base mean shorter outages and fewer return visits. That's the PRV advantage.

Food processing lines run hard and long, and downtime costs money. PRV makes replacement parts, stainless fabrications and conveyor components for food processing machinery, with fast turnaround on breakdown spares.

Whether you need a single prototype or thousands of repeat parts, the work is planned to suit. Mild steel, stainless, aluminium, copper, Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy and titanium are all machined regularly, and a stocking service lets customers cut their own inventory and call off as needed.

Getting started is straightforward. Share your drawing or sample, tell the team your quantities and deadline, and PRV will come back with a quote and any suggestions to save cost. From there the work is managed in-house through to final inspection and delivery.

Quality sits at the top of the agenda, with a zero tolerance policy on rejects. Work is completed under BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and BS EN 1090 EXC3, and PRV also holds ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. With every major process in-house, problems are caught early and fixed fast.
