Aluminium fabrication from PRV produces light, strong, corrosion resistant structures and parts, cut, formed, welded and machined in-house. From its 54,000 sq ft site in Pontypool, South Wales, PRV Engineering has been machining, fabricating and finishing for UK industry since 1986.
Aluminium fabrication at PRV covers framework, gates, enclosures, access platforms, cradles and bespoke assemblies. Aluminium needs a different touch from steel, from cutting and forming to welding and distortion control, and PRV has the skills and kit to handle it. Large aluminium plates and structures can also be machined on the Takumi H22S high speed machining centre, so fabricated and machined features come from the same supplier.
Aluminium is lighter than steel, doesn't rust and machines quickly, but it needs specialist welding skills and careful heat control. Distortion, porosity and cracking are common faults in the wrong hands. Using an experienced aluminium fabricator with machining capability under the same roof gets you an accurate, sound part first time.

Batch size is not a problem. One-offs, pre-production runs and high volume schedules all go through the same controlled process. Materials cover the full spread from mild steel to titanium and nickel alloys, and Kanban, VMI, consignment and JIT supply can be set up for repeat lines.
