Rubb was delighted to be shortlisted for the Manufacturing Award in the Tyneside and Northumberland heats of the North East Business Awards.

The cream of the region's business community gathered to see 12 top firms win trophies. The annual event is organised by The Journal and The Gazette. Then jockey Richard Dunwoody stepped up as guest speaker and gave a blow-by-blow account of his Grand National triumph in 1994.

Worthy winners Egger (UK) Ltd scooped the manufacturing accolade, with Rubb and Infinite Playgrounds and Canopies named as runners up in this category.

Rubb MD Ian Hindmoor said: “I am delighted that Rubb was named as a finalist for this award. It is testament to the hard work and dedication the team has contributed to the business.”
