Rubb Buildings Ltd is a leading UK manufacturer of engineered building solutions. We are currently looking to recruit a Machine Saw Operator to join our production team at our Gateshead facility.
The role
You will be responsible for operating industrial saws to cut steel components accurately and safely in line with production requirements and technical drawings.
Key responsibilities
- Operate band saws and other cutting machinery
- Cut steel sections to specified lengths and angles
- Read and work from drawings and cutting lists
- Check accuracy of components and report defects
- Carry out basic machine checks and housekeeping
- Work safely and in line with company procedures
What we’re looking for
- Experience operating saws or similar machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read measurements and basic engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and a strong safety focus
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with structural steel
- Forklift truck licence (or willingness to be trained)
