Rubb and Alotta announce a strategic partnership on an integrated, patent pending solar panel solution for fabric‑engineered buildings, based on Alotta Prism technology.
Rubb is pleased to introduce SolarFlex, a new solar‑integrated building solution developed in partnership with Norwegian clean‑energy company Alotta. SolarFlex is based on Alotta Prism technology, combining Rubb’s expertise in fabric‑engineered buildings with Alotta’s experience in delivering reliable solar power systems for demanding environments.
Lightweight solution
Designed specifically for Rubb buildings, SolarFlex integrates solar‑generation capability directly into the roof, as part of the building envelope. The lightweight system enables on‑site electricity generation while maintaining the durability and performance expected of industrial fabric structures.
SolarFlex supports grid‑connected, off‑grid, and hybrid energy configurations, helping customers reduce emissions, lower operating costs, and improve energy resilience across a wide range of applications.
The joint, patent‑pending solution has been developed for deployment on Rubb’s industrial‑strength fabric buildings, used worldwide in sectors such as ports, logistics, aquaculture, and heavy industry.
Pilot and demonstration installations have been completed in Norway—including harsh coastal environments—to validate system integration and performance.
