How Voltage Optimisation Supports Sustainability
Voltage optimisation is a simple but highly effective way to use energy more responsibly. While UK mains electricity is supplied at a nominal 230V, most industrial equipment operates most efficiently around 220V. Higher voltage than needed wastes energy in the form of heat, driving up electricity consumption and unnecessary carbon emissions.
By reducing the site voltage from 235V to 220V, our voltage optimiser ensures that:
- Electricity is used efficiently, cutting unnecessary energy consumption
- Carbon emissions associated with grid electricity are reduced
