Woodlands Caravan Park in Gwespyr required an upgrade to their existing play area to improve safety, durability, and overall presentation, while retaining the character of the existing timber play equipment.

PlayQuest was commissioned to supply and install PlayBond bonded rubber mulch safer surfacing, delivering a clean, resilient, and compliant surface suitable for year-round use.

The challenge

The existing play area had deteriorated over time, with old woodchip surfacing and weed growth impacting both safety and appearance. The client needed a long-lasting solution that would reduce maintenance while enhancing the usability of the play space for families visiting the park.

• Removal of existing woodchip and vegetation

• Installation of an MOT Type 1 stone base

• New timber edgings where required

• Thorough cleaning of all existing play equipment

• Installation of PlayBond bonded rubber mulch safer surfacing
