£18m Playground Fund: Members Encouraged to Engage with Councils Receiving Government Funding

PlayQuest has highlighted the Government’s £18 million Playground Fund, which will support investment in children’s outdoor play spaces across 66 local authorities in England.

Each selected authority is set to receive funding to create or improve three playgrounds. PlayQuest notes that the accompanying guidance references the Association of Play Industries alongside other organisations, with membership of recognised trade bodies identified as useful assurance during procurement due diligence.

As an API member, PlayQuest says accredited suppliers can help councils address areas including quality, safety, accessibility, durability and professional project management. The company also stresses the value of careful planning when replacing ageing equipment, creating new play areas or improving inclusivity.

PlayQuest works with councils, schools and community organisations on playground projects from initial concept and consultation through manufacture, installation and aftercare.
