A massive escalation of theft of lead from roofs has led Sussex Police to warn people to check their roofs after wet weather has caused many such thefts to come to light! Thieves have targeted the roofs of; shops, as well as many schools, churches and hotels amongst other buildings and in many cases, the theft was not identified until internal water damage resulting from heavy rain became evident.
