The 2025 Sports 2000 Championship season roared into action at Silverstone National Circuit on April 19th and 20th – and powering the grid with lightweight, high-performance reliability were Varley Red Top Lithium batteries.

Two cars, one mission

Car #40 hit the track with confidence. With driver Tim at the wheel, and setup refinements improving balance lap by lap, the team reported their most encouraging pre-season showing to date.

Meanwhile, Car #44 faced a tougher road. Technical challenges, including a fuel pump fuse issue, engine sensor errors, and a snapped rear deck support bar, tested the team’s resolve. But with determination – and some late-night fabrication – the students pushed through to get #44 back on track.
