SQL Database DeveloperLocation: Warrington, Cheshire Description: SQL Database Developer – Warrington, Cheshire £25-35K. Our client based in Warrington is currently seeking a high calibre individual with a strong database background. If you enjoy working with data, have advanced SQL Server database skills and would like to develop a career in one of the fastest growing industries, we want to hear from you. Core Skill Set: In this role, you will work on numerous large scale, high volume (some transactional oriented) databases, both as a SQL Developer & DBA, in both capacities enhancing and supporting existing systems while also developing new procedures and working practices (including training operational staff). You will be responsible for T-SQL development, stored procedures, triggers, functions, SQL code optimisations, reporting, database / table creations, performance tuning, SQL Server implementations and configurations, replications, conversion to newer versions of SQL Server alongside our IT resource, capacity planning and support. In addition, you will have production support responsibilities related to all aspects of database support for our clients. Required Skills / Experience / Competencies: • Positive attitude and flexible mindset • Advanced skills Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2005 • Experience optimizing SQL Server stored procedures • Experience with enterprise IT practices such as change management, release management, and configuration management • Experience working amongst application developers • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Good verbal and written communication skills Problem solving skills is essential alongside enthusiasm.
