The successful candidate will initially be supporting and writing new applications for the company, under the guidance of the current software engineers. Core Skill Set: Occasional worldwide travel for up to two weeks at a time may be required to either attend meetings or to support trials. Experience / Requirements The successful candidate will have proven ability to code & document to agreed standards in C# and .net using Visual Studio. Proven Experience of: • C# programming • SQL Server 2005 or later, or comparable database system, • .NET framework preferably 3.5 Service Pack 1 or later • An ability to estimate and keep to timescales for development. • Good communications skills are required to interface to other departments in technical meetings and to liaise with contractors and customers. • The ability to work under pressure and to support customers and service engineers in different time zones is required. • An understanding of Windows Presentation Foundation, multi-threading and socket programming would be an advantage.
