Camper Van Door Latch

This project was developed in partnership with a local Dorset business. The customer supplied the aesthetic design, while AAV Plastics delivered the mechanical design and tooling expertise. Our solution created a strong, reliable assembly without the need for additional pivots, fittings, or secondary processes.

Using lifters in the injection moulding tool, we designed an irreversible snap-fit assembly that locks securely in place. This approach eliminates the need for adhesives, fixtures, or complex tooling, resulting in a simple and efficient manual assembly process. The outcome was a cost-effective, high-quality product designed for strength, ease of manufacture and long-term reliability.
