New Transport Site and Capabilities for Trojan-Mek
Specialist machine moving and haulage firm Trojan-Mek has expanded with the acquisition of a new transport operating site in Bridgend. It has also increased its service portfolio to include plant equipment transport. The new half-acre site at Village Farm Industrial Estate, Pyle, has been leased to the company by Bridgend County Borough Council under a five-year agreement. The site will house Trojan-Mek's haulage fleet, including a newly purchased low-loader trailer. The company has plans to move all business operations to the site in spring 2016 following a successful crowdfunding bid. The company said relocating its transport base meant it was in a position to further increase the size of its fleet and develop the capabilities of its business. Leighton Price, co-director of Trojan-Mek, said: "Historically, we have received enquiries for plant equipment transport in addition to our other movement services, so initial investment in the new trailer along with a sound operational base means we can now respond positively, better serve customers and continue pushing forward with growth aims." Trojan-Mek, based in Maesteg, currently works with customers including celebratory products maker International Greetings, and aircaft engine overhaul business GE Aviation.
