The Trafag NHT 8250 is a pressure transmitter designed specifically for hydrogen. Its thin-film-on-steel sensor is built on a special hydrogen-compatible high-performance alloy, housed in a robust, fully welded body with no additional seals.
Hydrogen is unforgiving. It embrittles standard materials and finds its way through weak points. The NHT 8250 is engineered to handle it, with hydrogen-compatible wetted materials and excellent long-term stability. It carries EC79/2009 certification from the KBA (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt), with optional Ex zone 2 conformity to EN60079.
Ranges run from 0-1 to 0-100 bar (0-15 to 0-1000 psi) with accuracy of ±0.5% or ±0.3% FS. Media temperatures run from -40°C to +85°C and ambient up to +125°C. A wide choice of outputs includes 4-20 mA, 0.5-4.5 VDC ratiometric and several voltage options, with G1/4, NPT, UNF and M12x1.5 pressure connections.
Applications include fuel cells, hydrogen fuelling stations, hydrogen tanks and compressors, and vehicles with hydrogen drive.
