The Trafag NAR 8258 is a compact pressure transmitter built for railway vehicles to EN 50155. Rolling stock is a harsh place for electronics, and the NAR 8258 is designed to cope with it.
It meets EN 50155 for railway applications, EN 45545-2 for fire protection, EN 61373 for shock and vibration and EN 50121-3-2 for EMC. The thin-film-on-steel sensor cell delivers ±0.3% accuracy, triple overpressure protection and excellent long-term stability. An optional one or two PNP switching output adds switch functionality.
Ranges run from 0-6 to 0-700 bar (0-100 to 0-10,000 psi) with a 4-20 mA output. Media and ambient temperatures run from -40°C to +85°C (EN 50155 OT6). Electrical connections include industrial standard, M12x1 and IP67/IP68 cable, with G1/4, G1/8, NPT, SAE and DIN pressure connections.
It's ideal for brake systems, hydraulics and pneumatics on trains, trams and other rail vehicles.
