The Trafag EXPK 944/947/953 Ex Pressostat is a certified explosion protected electromechanical pressure switch for hazardous areas. It carries IECEx and ATEX certification, with UK conformity too.
It's marked Ex db eb IIC T6 Gb for gas atmospheres and Ex tb IIIC T80°C Db for dust. The rugged aluminium housing (stainless steel optional) is rated IP66, and the switch can be mounted in multiple positions, with screw terminal wiring.
A piston measuring principle handles high pressures, with ranges from 1-10 up to 60-600 bar, overpressure up to 400 bar depending on variant, and ±1.0% FS typical repeatability. It switches a single floating change-over contact (SPDT). Media temperatures run from -30°C to +100°C (NBR) or -15°C to +150°C (FKM), with ambient from -40°C to +65°C, and G1/4 female or G1/2 male pressure connections.
It's used on railways, hydraulic systems, large engines, marine installations and anywhere certified pressure switching is required in an explosive atmosphere.
