The Trafag 9R5 Picostat is the latest generation of Trafag's electromechanical pressure switches for railway vehicles, built on many years of experience in the rail sector.
It combines a stainless steel housing with a welded steel bellows sensor in a compact, rugged package designed for life on rolling stock. It switches a single floating change-over contact (SPDT) through an EN 175301-803-A (DIN 43650-A) connector.
The 9R5 meets the key rail standards: EN 50155 for railway applications, EN 45545-2 for fire protection and EN 61373 for shock and vibration, plus EN 60730-1/2-6 Type 2.B.H. Media and ambient temperatures run from -40°C to +85°C, meeting EN 50155 OT6.
It's a strong choice for brake systems, pneumatics and hydraulics on trains, trams and other rail vehicles where mechanical reliability comes first.
