Maximum Ball Bearing Speed

Numerous factors affect ball bearing speed limitation such as temperature, load, vibration, radial play, lubricant, retainer, ball material and closures. The speeds quoted in our technical drawings are only approximate and valid for bearings used on a horizontal shaft with a metal cage, standard tolerance grade and radial play, medium loading, rotating inner ring and suitable lubricant. Vertical shaft applications will need a maximum speed reduction of approximately 20%. Please contact us for more information.
